Description The field design is often found in Belouch rugs and shows Turkmen influences as in Boucher plate 14. The border is rare an identical one is shown in Boucher plate 10. The colours are really good on soft lustrous wool, the rug has a very floppy and soft handle. Condition The rug is complete and is undergoing sensitive restoration to the field and sides. The pile is a little low on areas as can be seen from the close-up picture. Commentary. A good example of Belouch work of the Northwest Persia Khorassan, Torbat-e-Haidari region.
