Description
A prayer rug format with a tree and branches set against the camel central
field, with two hand panels.
Condition Good condition mostly in full pile with slight wear on the top half  also the black has corroded in the field and kelim end. The back shows the salt and pepper effect of an old rug. There has been some re-piling of the corroded black.
Commentary  A very nice example of Belouch weaving , with fine
drawing and balanced design. The minor details in the field are interesting as well as the red 'fruits' or "blossoms" hanging from the 'tree'.  The band of soumak work in the kelim ends is exactly the same as in 'Baluch Woven Treasures' by Jeff Boucher Plate 38.The main borders are also very similar
