Description A prayer rug format with two "tree" columns at the side with an unusual totemic central axis that is in reduced format in the niche.The end panels have a chevron design and is tightly woven. Condition The rug is complete and is generally in good condition. The black has corroded mostly in the minor border to the right of the field and in one section of the flat-weave at the top, which has been stabilised. The selvaged are complete and original. There are only minor repairs in the corroded areas. Commentary. A nice little prayer rug complete and in good condition. What attracted me to the rug was the unusual central axis, the attractive green-blue and unusual brick red which indicate a strong Afghan influence.
