Structure
WarpsWool,ivory.
Wefts Wool olive-grey 2 shoots
Pile wool.
Knots  asymmetric of to left
Density v 9 x 6 h  = 54 per ins sq
Sides 2 cord, goat hair.
Ends  4 inches, original almost complete the end in ivory is mostly missing.
Dyes vegetal, the peach found mainly in the major border has faded a little indicating dhemical dyes.
Colours 7) red,dark brick, peach ,aubergine, ,dark blue, olive grey, ivory.

Description rows of small botehs facing opposite directions on an ivory background. The main border is a trefoil type in peach and olive grey. The ends have a chevron motif flanked by small stars in brocade.
Condition The rug is almost complete with the very end finish of the kelim missing.There has been some re-piling in top of the field, and edges.
Commentary. A sweet little piece from early 20th Century, with a rare white background. Although the peach colour may be chemical or badly dyed madder, which has resulted in the colour loosing half the intensity of the colour it harmonises with the rest of the rug. Note the small filler motifs down the right side.The ends are finely woven.
