Description A prayer rug design with ivory ground with a lattice filled with flower derived motifs. The mihrab has a hooked medalion topped by a comb. Ê Condition The Rug is complete and in good condition .Throughout. The brown -black is corroded in places. The ends have been rewoven to the highest standarb, as well as a few places along the edge. Commentary A nice example of Shirvan weaving with a pleasing balance of colours. The motifs in the lattice has a pattern in a chevron arrangement, which emphasises the prayer format.
