Condition The rug is complete with a small amount of the flat-weave ends. The sides have been re-wrapped. There is wear with the foundation showing in places there has been some re-piling in the cental row of motifs as well as some of the background. Commentary A very unusual and interesting piece showing the distant influence of the Turkmen in the Gul like centres to the main motifs. Also the mahogany is a very typical Turkmen colour.
