Description Two columns of memling guls on a blue background, with a vine boder on green and a zig zag outer border. The is a date woven three times, translated as 1322 = 1905AD.
Condition The rug is complete with a re-weave in the field and some re-piling.
Commentary An attractive and well drawn rug with a date that is consistant with the structure and materials. It shows the use of vegetal dyes into the 20th Century.Nice quality wool with a heavy handle.
